Very interesting, the M3 Max results definitely make me look forward to the M3 Ultra!

What I’d most like to see next is a comparison against the 2019 Mac Pro. (And putting the Intel results in the same table as Apple Silicon results would aid in readability.)

In my experience over the past year I found a high-spec M1 Ultra Studio was not an improvement in Avid performance over a 2019 Intel Mac Pro. And perhaps a little bit of a downgrade.

It really is embarrassing, but not surprising, that Avid is still running in Rosetta mode. I hoped that native Apple Silicon support would follow the release of the Apple Silicon Mac Pro this year.

I’m very curious to see how Media Composer stacks up against Da Vinci Resolve, FCP, and Premier using the same footage and tests the article used.
