With a price of $149.99, the new Monitor/EVF Holder from edelkrone is presented as compatible with all monitors and EVFs and will make a nice pair with the PocketRIG from the company.
Available from the end of August, indicates edelkrone, the new Monitor/EVF Holder attaches to any shoe mount, meaning it can be used with any camera/ DSLR and rigs. It tilts-up and down, the most frequently used monitor/EVF adjustments, and there is no need to loose or tighten screws. Simply move the monitor and it stays exactly where you leave it, says edelkrone.
The monitor/EVH holder has an extra shoe mount on its side, to accommodate a LED light or a microphone, or a wireless receiver, or any other accessory you want to place there, and that uses a shoe mount connection. There is also a ¼”-20 port under the monitor plate to attach even more accessories. Edelkrone says you should not exceed 3.3 lb (1.5 kg)… One has to question, though, if the shoe mount on all cameras supports all that weight. I guess edelkrone did all the testing, in the video presented here all seems to work perfectly.
The Monitor/EVF holder was designed to be extremely flexible, so users can place the monitor/EVF at the top, on the side, in the front or back of the camera. It was also designed so the cables can easily be attached and nothing blocks the inputs/outputs. And because it is a product from edelkrone, it works great with the PocketRIG, for a complete rig solution with your DSLR.
Compatible with all monitors and EVF’s… up to 9 inch, and there is still some room left, the monitor/EVF holder has a counterweight level which allows to adjust it to any load. The small dimensions of the holder, 180x32x110mm make it easy to carry around and setup when needed. Check it at edelkrone’s website.
