The acquisition now announced expands Boris FX product family in meaningful ways, as it adds powerful video editing and content creation tools to the Boris FX portfolio, besides tools for audio and music.

Boris FX announces the acquisition of Vegas Pro (formerly Sony Vegas), Sound Forge, and Acid Pro from MAGIX Software GmbH. The acquisition brings new AI technology to Boris FX, along with the notable video editing and audio products. The additions further cement Boris FX’s commitment to provide artists and teams across media & entertainment, content creation, and music & sound industries with top tools that deliver fast, powerful, and unlimited creative possibilities.

Boris FX has a long history with the Vegas community as its tools were included in early Sony Vegas releases and continued through many versions under MAGIX.
