But,but but no internal ND! Well, true. But then we just shot a campaign on Alexa35 and the DP insisted on using external ND even though they could have used its internal. So, whatever.

Thanks for the review, from another older shooter, I used the nex cameras when they first came out including the fs100+700 a7 nex5,3 and really liked them but moved away from sony and ignored their releases because the never added internal raw. I shot on a few features that used the venice and I was impressed with they color science so I was excited to see that they gave this camera their real internal raw (and a evf).
But the question no one else had answered you did, resolve’s raw panel of the fx5 has all of the sliders I want and use. I was so frustrated with the fact bmd added support for prores raw but might as well not have since there a 2 sliders in the raw panel and in all my testing I have not found a way to get primary or log panels to cover and thus control the true full range of raw color and gamma. But I digress, great review

Not entirely sure what the shutter speed was used in the “Stone Hall” footage, for example. There were smooth motion shots but they still had a stepping/stutter in their movement, meaning that the motion as a whole was not properly smooth and fluid.

The other thing I was looking for was proper sharpness at the point of focus in the 4K mode and it wasn’t really there. I was left thinking you could get the same result shooting in HD. Maybe I can put it down to whatever lens was at hand.

Please just tell me a story about what you think of the camera. Not interested in your age or you convincing me your honest or all the other verbal embellishments
