Two years in the making, ProRig is a new solution from ShiftCam Gear for iPhone, this time developed in partnership with Apple.

ShiftCam Gear is returning the Kickstarter, where it all started for the company, a decade ago, with a new project. While most of the recent year we’ve seen the company focus on lenses, with the introduction of its new SuperZooms or accessories, with the new Stick-On Plate for iPhone 18 and 17 Pro/Pro Max, now it’s something different: ProRig. 

ProRig is a solution that expands on the concept first introduced with the ProGrip, the accessory that turns your phone into a pro-level camera that’s always with you, and the first product developed by the company, after it was founded, in 2017. Two years in the making, ProRig was developed through multiple rounds of conversation and feedback with Apple — helping shape a system designed around iPhone from the start. 

The new ProRig, designed for iPhone, is, according to ShiftCam Gear, “The Next Evolution Of Mobile Creation”; a new camera system designed around your iPhone – and the way you create. After 9 years of building tools for mobile creators, the company returns to Kickstarter, with its 10th project. Started with a simple idea and designed to belong with iPhone, ProRig is a modular camera system that adapts to your shifting needs. According to ShiftCam Gear “there’s no single way to build ProRig because there’s no single way to shoot. Keep it light for everyday creation, add more control on the move, or build it out when the production calls for more.” 

 Benson KL Chiu, ShiftCam’s founder and CEO, says that “mobile content creation has been innovating at light speed and yet rig design seems to have never changed. Designed to seamlessly integrate with iPhone Pro, ProRig gives, ShiftCam Gear says, “every generation of creators a powerful and personal camera system.
