Movidiam is a creative network that allows brands, agencies and creative professionals across the globe to connect and collaborate on projects in a new way.
Creating a profile on the site is free to everyone, but this service is much more than just a social network for creatives. Instead of simply connecting people around the world, it also provides the necessary tools for communication, collaboration and project management. You can even use their payment system to get paid!
Movidiam is currently in beta stages but early screenshots, and a cursory look through their website give me high hopes that this will be a service well worth investigating when it goes public later in the year. If Movidiam can blend aspects from popular accounting solutions like FreshBooks, with project management tools from the likes of Asana and Basecamp, then it’ll be a big step in the right direction for simplifying the life of a creative freelancer. Combine that with a beautiful way to showcase your work and get it in front of agencies around the world, and I’ll definitely be adding my profile to the service when it launches.
“We are living in a connected and mobile world where the traditional agency model is challenged, where remote freelancing is becoming the norm and where the demand for brands to create a constant stream of quality films has dramatically increased. We believe that connecting this network of professionals with global opportunities and providing them with streamlined and collaborative production features, built specifically for filmmaking, will create a truly unique community and platform for the production of incredible films.”
Access to the project management and communication tools will be $25/month and whatever your role is in the filmmaking industry, they want you on board. Make-up artists, production managers, drone pilots and boom operators.
