Blackmagic goes 8K, nostalgic jog/shuttle/linear editing features at NAB 2019

8K video mixers, converters and recorders are coming from Blackmagic.

At the press conference at NAB 2019 in NAB, Las Vegas, United States, Blackmagic introduced several 8k products. In addition, it added 1980s-1990s jog/shuttle know with clutch to some devices (including a US$1025 DaVinci Resolve Editor Keyboard), and linear editing type features to its DaVinci Resolve 16. It also added scopes and calibration capabilities to its new SDI-to-HDMI converter. Finally it is solving the battery-hungry nature of the “Pocket” 4K camera with a US$245 battery grip. Before my upcoming interview with them, you can see and hear some highlights ahead.
