Zhiyun’s Smooth Q5 Ultra is a smart smartphone gimbal built to make mobile filmmaking easier, smoother, and more flexible, featuring a new AI tracking module.

Designed for creators who want more control in a compact format, the Smooth Q5 Ultra combines AI-powered subject tracking, Zhiyun stabilization technology, a detachable wireless remote control, and voice command support for a more independent shooting experience.

The new AI tracking module improves the stability and accuracy of human subject tracking, helping users keep subjects centered while filming. A new display screen gives a clear overview of shooting modes and settings, while a motion-sensing control allows the gimbal to respond to simple wrist movements for more natural remote operation. Zhiyun also supports gesture-based control, giving creators more hands-free options when working alone.

Zhiyun has also added several practical features that strengthen the Smooth Q5 Ultra as an everyday creative tool. The built-in fill light delivers up to 226 lux for brighter portrait and close-up shots, while the 215 mm extension pole makes it easier to capture selfies, overhead angles, and low-angle footage. With support for quick folding and unfolding, easy switching between horizontal and vertical shooting, and battery life of up to 13.5 hours under light use, the Smooth Q5 Ultra is a simple and capable solution for creators who want stable and professional-looking smartphone video.

The company also debuts at the 2026 NAB Show the new Fiveray M40 SE, introduced last March, a high-power pocket light weighing only 250 g (bare unit), as light as a smartphone, that fits easily into your pocket, becoming your on-the-go lighting assistant so you never miss a brilliant moment.

According to the company, each of the 84 lamp beads is equipped with an independent lens, creating a neat and bright circular light spot. The light is more uniform and concentrated, delivering approximately 7 times higher efficiency than conventional designs. With high-power output, reaching 17,100 lux (tested in a laboratory environment at 0.5 m distance, 5500 K color temperature, 100% brightness, bare COB light source), the Fiveray M40 SE supports adjustable color temperature from 2700 K to 8500 K, with CRI ≈ 95 and TLCI ≥ 97. Zhiyun claims that it “ensures true-to-life colors, natural skin tones, and seamless matching with various ambient lights.”

Built with two high-performance 18650 batteries, the light provides up to 180 minutes of runtime for daily light use, and up to 44 minutes at maximum output. Supports continuous use while charging, meeting long-duration shooting demands, thanks to efficient cooling that Incorporates active cooling technology to maintain stable, low-temperature operation during prolonged high-brightness output.
