Besides the announcement of the new AF Cine Line with AF Cine 28-105mm T3 FF, Sigma also introduced two new lenses for its Art and Contemporary families.

The newest addition to Sigma’s Art line of lenses, the 35mm F1.4 DG II | Art is introduced as a large-aperture, wide-angle lens for full-frame cameras that combines outstanding resolution with a compact, lightweight design. It’s, according to the company, the Type II successor to the Sigma 35mm F1.4 DG DN | Art released in 2021.

This lens features an even more compact and lightweight design compared to the original iteration, reducing the overall length by approximately 14% and weight by approximately 20%. In addition, optical performance is also superior to the original, making this lens a true upgrade from its predecessor.

The Sigma 35mm F1.4 DG II | Art will be available April 16, 2026 at authorized Sigma dealers for Sony E-mount and L-Mount for a retail price of $1059 USD.

Sigma also announced the launch of the Sigma 15mm F1.4 DC | Contemporary, a new large-aperture, wide-angle lens designed for APS-C cameras. This new model combines, Sigma claims, “uncompromising optical performance with excellent portability to allow for effortless creative expression.”

The Sigma 15mm F1.4 DC | Contemporary is the successor to the Sigma 16mm F1.4 DC DN | Contemporary, refining its acclaimed optical performance while achieving remarkable compactness and lightweight design. This lens is the new standard for large-aperture APS-C wide-angle lenses, Sigma says.

Scheduled for release on March 12, 2026, the 15mm F1.4 DC | Contemporary will be available at authorized Sigma dealers in the US for a retail price of $579 USD.

Sigma also announced this month the AF Cine 28-105mm T3 FF, introduced as the perfect solution for solo operators and small-scale production teams who require autofocus capability, yet also want the specific features found in traditional cinema lenses.
