The culling process was first mentioned in May 2024, when Retouch4me announced it was in Alpha stage. The software uses neural networks to automatically identify and flag photos with closed eyes, awkward expressions, motion blur, and technical flaws, cutting typical culling time by up to 80%, according to the company.

Retouch4me Arams 1.6.0 operates through a two-tab workflow. In the CULL tab, AI trained on hundreds of thousands of professional images flags potential issues while photographers maintain full creative control — the system never automatically deletes images. In the EDIT tab, photographers can work with Retouch4me plugins either offline locally or via cloud processing with a credit-based system (pay per retouch).
