Amen. To paraphrase, perhaps unfortunately, Charlton Heston in Soylent Green: It’s People! It’s just a tool, and like all the other tools, based on previous tools, cultural norms, and art. The connection is all of it emanated from people.

A lot of nuance here. AI tools can be used in lots of ways in film-making workflows. It can be used to pump out low-quality uncreative content enmasse and it can also be used by low budget teams to for the first time make their novel creative vision for a film(s) real, for example using real photos and sketches as well as videos as input and turning them into cinematic scenes they would otherwise need to raise unrealistic amounts of capital first.
It’s surprising so many these days think of this topic without any nuance and seem to think this is a fad that will just pass in time. And it’s still hard to create good films with these.
