No tripods. No heavy telescopes. No setup. A whole new world of mobile long-range imaging begins as Stabi One 10×20 brings digiscoping to your pocket — lightweight, instant, and fully stabilized.
The Stabi One from Kite Optics is designed for observation in different situations: a day of birdwatching or a family bike ride, from city trips to safaris, from concerts to tactical missions. Only 5×4×7 cm and just 130 g — smaller than your wallet, lighter than your phone, it’s unbelievably small and, according to Kite Optics, “unbelievably sharp” delivering “breathtaking sharpness and contrast that challenge instruments many times its size” and that makes it the perfect travel companion that disappears in your pocket until the moment you need it.
The Stabi One is always ready, always with you, so small you didn’t even know it was there.
Built to operate from –20 °C to +55 °C, weather-resistant and powered by a single AAA battery that lasts for months, it’s made for the world outside. Hang it from its quick-release neck strap or slip it in your pocket — you’ll forget it’s even there.

The Stabi One is a world first — a fully stabilized 10×20 observation instrument that fits in your pocket.
Never before has this level of optical performance and stabilization been achieved in such a small, lightweight device. Its stabilized viewing system delivers performance comparable to Kite’s premium APC binocular series, Kite Optics claims, offering visual comfort and stability similar to a tripod-mounted spotting scope – without the tripod. This means that a new concept is born: true, high-definition observation, anywhere.
At 10x magnification, handheld shake typically makes sustained observation difficult. The Stabi One eliminates this problem, allowing users to observe comfortably for extended periods.
While birders, nature enthusiasts, and hunters will recognize the benefits immediately, the Stabi One opens possibilities for users who have never considered carrying optics. Its ultra compact sized format fits effortlessly in a jacket pocket, making it a practical companion for hikers who want to scan a distant trail, cyclists exploring new terrain, or city travelers taking in architecture and landmarks. Concertgoers and sports spectators gain a clear, steady view from any seat in the venue. The Stabi One is a compact, premium gadget that offers an entirely new way of observing your surroundings.
Kite Optics says that the monocular offers a 10× optical boost for your smartphone. Simply clip the Stabi One onto your phone and multiply its zoom — by ten. A 5× camera becomes 50×, a 10× becomes 100×, even 500× is possible. The company adds that the device offers “real optical magnification, perfectly stabilized” adding that “your phone has never seen this far.”
Here are the key specifications:
- 10x image-stabilized micro monocular, roughly the size and weight of an egg
- Stabilization performance comparable to Kite’s APC binocular series
- Visual comfort and stability similar to a tripod-mounted spotting scope
- Ideal for hikers, cyclists, city travelers, concertgoers, and sports spectators
Digiscoping is also reinvented with the introduction of the Stabi One. A name derived from two different terms – “digital camera” and “spotting scope,” – it was coined in 1999 by French birdwatcher Alain Fossé. A neologism for afocal photography, digiscoping refers to the use of a digital camera to capture distant images through an optical telescope. It’s the quickest, most accessible means of nature photography, as it allows anyone with a simple digital camera – or smartphone – to capture images of animals (birds are a good example) to achieve great results without the need for heavy and expensive cameras and telephoto lenses.
Using the Stabi One with your phone instead of a normal telescope you get a lightweight, instant, and fully stabilized solution that you carry in your pocket, making it even more accessible to users who want to try digiscoping but do not want to carry a regular telescope and a tripod with them. With a size of only 5×4×7 cm and a weight of 130 g the Stabi One features an advanced 2-degree stabilization system that removes every tremor and every large movement, keeping your image perfectly still at 10× magnification. Until now, compact optics — especially single-eye devices — were limited by hand movement. The Stabi One breaks that rule.
The Kite Optics Stabi One will be available in April 2026, with a suggested retail price of $ 449.00.
