JVC Professional Products Company today expanded its popular V©rit© Series of professional monitors with the new “R Series” at Content & Communications World in New York City (Booth 901). The new DT-R24L4D 24-inch and DT-R17L4D 17-inch LCD monitors offer the same 10-bit 1080p processing for critical image evaluation as the G Series that was introduced earlier this year, and are housed in durable metal cabinets that make them ideal for broadcast, studio, education, and mobile applications.

The new R Series features an advanced on-screen audio level meter and LTC/VITC time code support, as well as a non-glossy IPS LCD panel, which provides improved picture quality and maintains accurate color reproduction at wide viewing angles. Both models are equipped with a built-in speaker and adjustable stand, plus traditional rotary knobs for sound and picture control.

Priced approximately $1,000 less than its G Series counterparts, the R Series is ideal for broadcasters who require the highest image quality and reliability, but do not need 3G or dual link inputs, closed captioning, waveform monitor, or vectorscope.

“JVC’s LCD monitors have become the leading broadcast monitors in the U.S. market because of our commitment to performance, versatility, and value,” said Craig Yanagi, national marketing and brand manager. “Our new R Series, designed based on feedback from our customers requesting a streamlined version of the G Series, is built on the same robust chassis and maintains the key features that matter most, without compromising image quality or durability.”

The 24-inch DT-R24L4D (MSRP $3,995) offers native 1920×1080 resolution, and the 17-inch DT-R17L4D (MSRP $2,395) offers 1366×768 resolution. Both models are now available.

Headquartered in Wayne, New Jersey, JVC Professional Products Company, division of JVC Americas Corp., is a leading manufacturer and distributor of broadcast and professional video and audio equipment.
