(NASDAQ: IWOV), a global leader in content management solutions, today announced that Interwoven received a “Strong Positive” rating in Gartner’s recent report “MarketScope for Web Content Management.” Interwoven was one of only two vendors that received the highest possible rating out of 17 companies evaluated in the report.
The MarketScope report evaluated Web Content Management (WCM) vendors based on their product/service offering, customer experience, sales execution and pricing, overall viability, innovation, marketing execution, and geographic strategy. Companies receiving the “Strong Positive” rating are defined by Gartner as a vendor who “dominates the market as a whole, or a market segment,” and “its strategic direction is clear, stable and well communicated, and it has an unquestioned ability to execute on that vision,” among other qualities.
Regarding the outlook for WCM, the report states “The prospects for WCM are overwhelmingly positive. A fresh cultural shift now focuses on the myriad possibilities of using the Web as a medium for rich interaction with well-targeted audiences and market segments. The Web is an excellent medium with which to innovate, measure, analyze, and improve.”
