Get Started Fast with Media Composer for High-Res Workflows—Part 2

As most people know, I do a lot of tutorials that revolve around Avid Media Composer.  Well, I’ve done a new tutorial series over at Avid Blogs that centers around High Rez workflows, inside of Avid Media Composer.  In this first lesson, of a five part look at getting started with High Rez workflows in Media Composer, I focus on the core concept of linking and transcoding, and everything an editor or assistant editor needs to know to make sure their media appears properly, and in the right codec and resolution, in their project. I will cover:

  1. Downloading AMA plug-ins
  2. Linking to high-res files
  3. Working with FrameFlex
  4. Transcoding the linked high-res footage
