Filmtools Inc., (https://www.filmtools.com/) a well-known supplier of film and video production equipment, has acquired substantially all of the assets of Pacific Radio (widely known as PacRad). PacRad, founded in 1932, has a storied history as a premier source for professional audio, video, and data connectivity solutions. This strategic move expands Filmtools’ product portfolio into PacRad’s specialty domain of cables, connectors, and “signal chain” equipment, creating a comprehensive one-stop shop for production hardware and technical gear.

Established in 1932 with roots in Hollywood’s golden age, PacRad grew into a trusted resource for professional audio and video. It built its reputation by supplying premium cable and connector brands like Neutrik, Belden, and Canare.

One-Stop Shop for the “Signal Chain”

For Filmtools, acquiring PacRad is a natural extension of its existing range of cameras, camera support, lighting and grip equipment, sound gear, and production expendables (like gaffer tape, gels, and other on-set supplies).

By integrating PacRad’s renowned signal-chain solutions, Filmtools positions itself to support projects from lens to post – and now from the first microphone or camera cable to the final video display connection.
