Shop NowAdobe was honored with a Technology & Engineering Emmy® for 360-Degree Consumer Video Capture, Editing, and Presentation Technologies, alongside other industry contributors including GoPro, Insta360, Google, Apple, and ByteDance.
This award recognizes the engineering work behind making immersive video practical in the real world—from capture, through post-production, to final delivery.

360° workflows are inherently complex. They involve massive amounts of data, difficult stitching challenges, spatial awareness, and the need to make creative decisions inside a spherical frame rather than a flat timeline. Turning that complexity into something creators can actually use day to day required deep, thoughtful work across software design, performance, and system integration.
What’s significant here is not just innovation, but accessibility—and the discipline it takes to achieve both at the same time. Making 360° video usable didn’t mean simplifying the craft or cutting corners. It meant taking highly technical architectures and shaping them into tools creators can use everyday and trust—tools that feel stable, responsive, and aligned with how real creative work actually happens.
The result is technology that makes immersive storytelling accessible without lowering creative expectations. Creators can move faster while staying grounded, make spatial decisions with confidence, and deliver immersive experiences that used to require specialized teams and custom-built pipelines.
That, ultimately, is what meaningful technology looks like: hard problems are solved in the background while giving creators more room to focus on their creative intent.

It’s wonderful to see this work by Adobe acknowledged—not just as an innovation, but as evidence of what’s possible when complex technology is built with the creative in mind and addresses real creative workflows.
