DoPchoice will demonstrate the SNAPGRID Core Light Shaper for ARRI Omnibar at its stand and ARRI’s stand during IBC2026. 

Extremely durable, the new technology features a 40-degree, honeycomb-style cell structure designed to complement and add creative advantages to both the two-foot and four-foot versions of ARRI’s exciting new light. To create this innovation, DoPchoice combines its 20 years in light-shaping precision with Holland-based Ellar Works, founded by working DoP Job Kraaijeveld, who has devoted over a decade to turning his own lighting experience into custom-engineered tools.

The proliferation of uniquely configured LED lights has raised industry demand for gear to complement them. SNAPGRID Core is, DoPchoice says, “precision-engineered to provide optimum illumination control, especially for the geometry of long linear fixtures. Snapping directly onto the face of the Omnibar and held fast with two hook-and-loop bands, it is compatible with both the Omnibar Flat Diffuser for soft, even light and the Omnibar Intensifier for a tighter beam angle. SNAPGRID Core’s rugged yet lightweight construction offers increased durability and high resistance to the wear and tear of repeated rigging – without losing its shape or directional control.” 

For the longer-length Omnibar 4, the Core provides increased cell angling at its outer ends that focuses output toward the center of the light’s far field, avoiding abrupt edge falloff. This creates the Core Focus Cone effect, a gentle and effective method of light shaping that pleasingly wraps around the subject.

SNAPGRID Core comes in sizes to fit the ARRI Omnibar 2 (61 x 6.5 x 4 cm) and the Omnibar 4 (121 x 6.5 x 4 cm), weighing just 0.30 kg for Omnibar 2 and 0.50 kg for Omnibar 4.
