I found it especially interesting how both systems essentially serve the same purpose—negotiating video formats between devices—but in completely different ecosystems (HDMI vs USB). The example about cameras not “advertising” certain framerates really stood out to me. It shows how much hidden capability hardware can have, and how important it is for advanced users to understand these protocols. It also makes me wonder how many users are unknowingly limited by default settings instead of accessing the full potential of their equipment.
