Createasphere, the leading community builder uniting business leaders, content creators, emerging technology providers and thought leaders working in entertainment and media, is pleased to announce new participants and events at its TransVergence Summit, taking place August 7-8, 2013, at the W Hotel in Hollywood. Complete information can be found at www.transvergencesummit.com.
The TransVergence Summit is the first conference of its kind to bring together the talent, tools and technologies needed to create transmedia, OTT and cross platform content that immerses audiences and engages fans. Attendees will see the latest strategies and meet noted experts who work in transmedia and cross platform communication.
Recently added speakers addressing the creative community include Bernie Su, co-creator and producer of the web sensation “The Lizzie Bennet Diaries” and Jon Haller, writer and producer of “30 Rock” webisodes. Branded content professionals include Avi Savar, COO of Big Fuel; Mauricio Mota, co-founder of the Alchemists; and Jeremiah Rosen, President and Partner of Campfire.
Will Wright, CEO of Syntertainment and creator of “The Sims,” will deliver the keynote address on Day One.
The first-ever Los Angeles Story Hackathon will be held in conjunction with the Summit. Produced in association with StoryCode (storycode.org), it will bring together participants from diverse backgrounds including film, technology, publishing, game design and theater to create a cohesive narrative across multiple platforms in 24 hours and present one for judging. This will provide Summit attendees with an up-close look at transmedia development in action.
Also debuting at the TransVergence Summit is the Start-Up Salon, an exclusive opportunity for technology inventors and innovators to get their work in front of both the Summit audience, investors and venture capitalists.
Other conference sessions will focus on the many facets of transmedia and cross platform storytelling as applied to advertising, television, cinema, mobile, music, gaming, publishing, and themed and live entertainment.
Noted transmedia development consultant and producer Kate McCallum is curating the TransVergence Summit, bringing a wealth of experience to this rapidly expanding space. She is supported by a governing board of industry luminaries, selected for their unique experience and perspectives, in guiding programming and direction of the content.
“The buzz surrounding the Summit and the Transmedia Coalition editorial site is growing,” McCallum says. “This conference is the right event at the right time, answering the needs of content creators, brand managers, storytellers and everyone challenged with building loyal audiences and customers in these disruptive yet opportunity-filled times.”
