For several years now, Lon Seidman of Lon.TV has been fighting the broadcasters regarding their desire to encrypt the public airwaves. Lon has even gone to the extreme of traveling to the FCC offices to discuss the issue personally and face-to-face. The decision whether or that that encription will happen long term is currently in the hands of the FCC. Lon’s latest update is called ATSC 3.0 update: Broadcasters submit more nonsense to the FCC. In the below video, Lon demonstrates how the broadcasters best latest «evidence» offered to the FCC is a report about piracy on streaming websites and European sports, which is irrelevant to free open public airwaves. Lon also clarifies that the submitted report actually proves the opposite of the broadcasters’ opinions. Ahead is Lon’s latest video about it.
Keep up the great work, Lon!
