Shop NowDive with me to the coolest camera a Dude, actually, The Dude ever used. If you know a little bit of history behind The Dude, then you know Jeff Bridges, and if you know a little bit about Jeff Bridges, then you know he loves his Widelux film camera.

Jeff Bridges, actor and photographer, carried his beloved Widelux film camera throughout his career, with its panning lens, capturing behind-the-scenes moments for which he is also famous. The mechanical swing-lens panoramic camera revealed the world behind his Hollywood career.
Sadly, his original Widelux camera is no long being made. So, what does someone who once played The Dude, well, do? If you guessed sit back, smoke a bowl, you may be partially correct. But you don’t become Jeff Bridges by sitting around one’s whole life – not one bit.
WideluxX is a remake of the original and backed by SilverBridges. Company owners, Jeff and Susan Bridges, Charys Schuler, and Marwan El Mozayen, the publishers of Silvergrain classics, joined forces to bring the camera back. In fact, they premiered their first prototype in a recent video release.
The WideLuxX is based on the famed Widelux F8, famed for it’s swinging lens. The company reverse-engineered and recreated every part from the original. Which, in my opinion, seems like a very difficult thing to do. If it’s good for The Dude, it’s probably good for the world.
