Get Started Fast with Avid Media Composer 7: Lesson 4

Get Started Fast with Avid Media Composer 7: Lesson 4 1

If you've been thinking that Media Composer is a little to daunting to get started with, than part four of this five part series will get you up and running lightning quick!

In the fourth of our Get Started Fast with Avid Media Composer 7 tutorials, let’s talk about taking your edit to the next level, and we do that with effects. In this lesson, we're going to start out simple by talking about adding transitions to your work. Then, we're going to talk about the one effect that you will be going back to over and over again, and i'm talking about the 3D warp tool.  For anyone coming from another NLE, the 3D Warp tool is what is going to let you do all of your basic “clip-based” effects work (like Position changes, Scale, Rotation, etc), as well as getting into some more complicated effects work like keying and corner pinning.  Last, we're going to look at working with Matte Keys, as well as doing some basic color correction on some poorly shot footage. This lesson gives you the foundation to start creating simple yet effective looks in your projects—fast.
