If you've been thinking that Media Composer is a little to daunting to get started with, than part one of this five part series will get you up and running lightning quick!

 

In my new role as trainer over at Avid Blogs, I'm going to take you on a tour of the ins and outs of the industry's top editing application, Media Composer.  In our first lesson, we talk about project creation, and why this is an exceptionally important thing to get right, or it will lead to trouble down the road.  We also talk about the main Media Composer layout, and some important user and project settings you'll want to set before getting started.  Before we wrap up, we'll take a look at bins, and how they are more flexible and give you more information than most bins and/or folders in other NLE's  We've got five lessons to get you up and editing in Media Composer.  Don't forget to check out Avidblogs.com/post to get up to the minute news on anything and everything Avid post production related.  In Lesson 2, we talk aquisition, by looking at capturing, importing and AMA Linking to.
