Shop NowThe professional production industry has a lingering, messy problem: a chaotic hodgepodge of proprietary chargers, unoptimized battery setups, and a tangled web of cables cluttering gear cases. It’s a logistical headache. Core SWX—a trusted leader in professional-grade power solutions—has answered the call with PowerVault. Developed in collaboration with Armando Ferreira, this all-in-one charging, power management, and battery organization system unifies your entire power workflow into a single, travel-ready ecosystem.
Core SWX brought this highly anticipated system to Cine Gear Expo 2026 to give attendees a firsthand look at how it solves on-set power fragmentation.
A Modular, Multi-Format Charging Core
Opening the heavy-duty case immediately reveals an impressively modular layout built around five configurable charging bays. Leveraging interchangeable SNAP adapters, battery plates can be swapped on the fly, allowing DITs and utility crews to mix and match formats as the camera package demands. Each bay utilizes a highly efficient GaN power architecture to deliver up to 48W per channel, allowing a typical 98Wh V-mount or Gold-mount brick to juice up in under two hours while charging five packs simultaneously.
Beyond standard cine bricks and Core SWX SNAP packs, the system accommodates a sprawling array of dual adapters for mirrorless and cinema batteries—including Sony BP-U/L-Series, Canon BPA/LP-E6, and Panasonic lines—and even features a dedicated plate for AA, AAA, and 9V cells.
The Centralized On-Set Power Hub
Far more than a passive charging station, PowerVault doubles as an active, centralized power distribution hub for mobile carts and remote sets. Built into the chassis are dual standard USB-C outputs alongside Core SWX’s proprietary PD Pro ports (delivering 140W and 65W, respectively). This advanced power delivery specification extends well beyond standard USB limits, safely supplying high-voltage, sustained power to laptops, high-draw production monitors, wireless video transmitters, and even cinema cameras directly from the case.
For documentary crews and commercial teams moving fast between setups, the system offers an invaluable Power Sharing Mode. When disconnected from wall outlets, the top three bays automatically redistribute energy to the lower two, transforming the unit into a completely self-contained, off-grid power network.
Built for the Rigors of Travel
Designed explicitly with transport and field deployment in mind, the compact $15” \times 14” \times 8”$ case features a rugged, IP65-rated weatherproof construction that completely protects internal electronics from dust and rain. On-set monitoring is equally streamlined: an integrated LED interior backlight simplifies night-shoot cable management, while built-in Bluetooth pairs with the VoltBridge app to provide real-time battery diagnostics and charge levels directly to a smartphone.
Future-Proofing Production Power
Ultimately, the Core SWX PowerVault is a direct, elegant answer to the realities of modern, fast-paced filmmaking. By turning a pile of loose plastic chargers into an intelligent, hot-swappable infrastructure tool, Core SWX has eliminated one of the biggest logistical bottlenecks on set. As productions continue to adopt new camera packages and battery shapes, the ability to simply swap an inexpensive adapter plate rather than purchase an entire new charging system ensures that PowerVault isn’t just an organizational luxury—it’s a long-term, future-proof asset for any production house or rental kit.
