Working with Libraries in Final Cut Pro X

Working with Libraries in Final Cut Pro X 1

Welcome to our third MacBreak Studio on the brand new Final Cut Pro 10.1!

In this episode, Steve Martin from Ripple Training dives into the nitty-gritty of working with Libraries.

A few weeks ago we discussed the concept of the unified library model that was introduced in Final Cut Pro 10.1. Today, we look more specifically at how to work with libraries: how and where to create them, how to locate and open existing libraries, how to close them, and what they contain.

Libraries are a huge improvement to how Final Cut Pro handles events, projects, and media management so a firm grasp on what they are and how they operate is required before you update your existing projects or import your first video clip. If you haven't already done so, please check out our free tutorials that walk you through the update process. And here's an article on PVC that reviews all the new features in detail.
