Phottix expands its line of Nuada LED panels with a new model and shape: the round Nuada R3 VLED Video LED, presented as a panel perfect for vloggers and product photographers.
After two models with a rectangular shape, the Phottix Nuada S VLED Video LED Light and the Phottix Nuada P VLED Video LED Light, Phottix introduces a new model, the Phottix Nuada R3 VLED Video LED, a round shaped LED panel offering, according to the company, a soft, flattering and powerful light source.
With dimensions of 428 x 433 x 33mm and a weight of 1520g, the Nuada R3 is different from the previous models, which were desgined to be easy to use hand-held, on the camera hot shoe or on a light stand. The Nuada R3 is a light stand solution, one that looks as an interesting Phottix solution, perfect for both novice and professional photographers and videographers. It’s portability – it comes in a handy carrying Bag with padded insert – makes it ideal to carry for on-location work, but it also doubles as a solution for studio.
A softlight design offering, says Phottix, 40W of flattering light, the Nuada R3 has, according to the company “excellent color, with a CRI rating of 95+” and offers users a control panel, on the back, with information on battery status and controls for brightness and colour temperature. Designed to work on both battery and AC power, it comes with the AC adapter to use mains power, and plugs for US, UK, AU and EU. As usual for LED panels, the Phottix Nuada R3 runs on Sony-compatible V-Mount batteries (not included) and includes a V-Mount to NP Battery adapter – so widely available Sony-compatible NP batteries can be used for on-location work.
The round design of the Phottix Nuada P VLED Video LED Light is, says the company, “easily adjustable and perfect for creatives on-the-go, from make-up artists to vloggers and product photographers”.
