San Francisco SuperMeet 2013: Technicolor Color Assist

San Francisco SuperMeet 2013: Technicolor Color Assist 1

I purchased Technicolor's Color Assist upon its release in November 2012, and I did so based on my experience with Technicolor's CineStyle User Profile for Canon EOS.  What you'll find is a very smooth interface that transitions very similarly to RedGiant's Magic Bullet.

The key difference, however, is Technicolor's ability to allow you to test your color profiles in full motion video instead of only one frame and do so without having to render first.  You can preview your full motion clip in real time without any rendering right inside the Technicolor interface.

If you like more than one, or if you are presenting a client with choices, you can load several different color profiles onto the effect.  Once back in Premiere, simply click on each one in effects to preview the different looks one at a time.

Even though I had a little bit of experience with Color Assist, it was a real treat to get a chance to visit with Asif Ahmed of Technicolor and get a formal run down of Color Assist's features.  Here's more from the Technicolor website:

The magic of Hollywood is just one click away with CineStyle Color Assist. Gain access to powerful studio color effects and color correction tools without a Hollywood-sized budget.

Preview styling and effects in real-time, while taking control of a simple, easy-to-use interface that works directly with your preferred editing programs. Now with CineStyle Color Assist, you can create stunning, movie studio-quality footage faster and easier than ever before.
