Reeflex has a new Ultra Telephoto 300–600mm… for smartphones

Compatible with iPhone and Samsung phones, the new optical lens system from Reeflex is designed to push smartphone photography into territory traditionally reserved for dedicated camera gear.

Launched on April 28, the Reeflex Ultra Telephoto 300–600mm reached its Kickstarter funding goal –  $11,717 –  in just 5 minutes, and with 21 days to go it has now reached a total of $546,275 pledged by 1541 backers. While it may surprise some, it’s not news for Reflex, as the company has used crowdfunding for its products, with astounding results. One example from 2024 is the Super Telephoto 240mm lens, which raised $408,000 from 1200 backers, exceeding its initial goal by 3.882%.
