Profoto ProPanel 3×2: world’s brightest soft panel debuts at NAB

The world’s brightest soft panel, Profoto ProPanel 3X2, is now available and can be experienced live at the 2026 NAB Show, in Las Vegas, April 18-22, at the main hall booth number C.7311.

Built to handle all the ever changing circumstances on a film set, the Profoto ProPanel 3X2 delivers an impressive 2000 watts of rich, soft, full-color light in a lightweight, durable design. The ProPanel 3X2 was first announced last August (2025) and is now finally available.

According to Profoto, the new ProPanel 3X2 “sets a new industry standard for rapid set-ups saving time on production. With a 360° aluminum railing system, ProPanel 3X2 can be mounted in any orientation without overheating. ProPanel 3X2 can be accessorized with a custom SnapBags M, engineered together with DoP choice, featuring a industry’s first Profoto Speed Clamp system, for rapid mounting on set.”

Thanks to Profoto‘s patent-pending cooling technology CTech, the ProPanel weighs only 28kg/62lbs, 50% less than competing products. The low weight allows for one-man rigging, solving one of the most common pain points among gaffers, best boys, and DPs. Maximum power with minimal manpower. Despite the low weight the ProPanel is both rugged and reliable in any conditions with a IP-65 all-weather rating.

Finally, at 2000w power output, the ProPanel 3X2 delivers exceptional light quality across the full color spectrum, due to its wide CCT-range between 2000K-15000K. The Profoto Core LED engine provides unmatched color rendering with TLCI 97. Featuring a unique constant current dimming system it is truly flicker free at any frame rate, making it ideal for high speed work.
