NAB NY 2025: Puget Systems shows live production solutions

NAB NY 2025: Puget Systems shows live production solutionsPuget Systems collaborated directly with vMix developers to design a high-performance live production workstation for the ultimate vMix user experience.

Puget Systems is back at the Jacob Javits Convention Center in New York City this week to demonstrate a newly-designed, custom, high-performance workstation optimized for broadcast and live streaming using vMix. vMix is an industry-leading live video production software solution that enables users to create, mix, switch, record, and stream professional live productions on a Windows PC or laptop.

The Puget Systems team worked closely with vMix, collaborating directly with their development team to ensure that the new Puget Systems workstations are fully optimized for vMix software. Additionally, the collaboration with vMix was designed to ensure Puget Systems customers have the smoothest experience possible when using vMix’s various tools for live streaming and broadcast. Some of Puget Systems’ largest customers, including Microsoft and TikTok, specifically requested that they work directly with vMix to combine Puget Systems’ expertise with vMix’s own testing and recommendations. The result is a highly-tailored system designed to thrive in the most challenging live broadcast environments.

Don Whitmore, the lead broadcast engineer for TikTok commented, “I wanted a workstation built and supported by people who know what matters most and I rely on Puget Systems workstations to be a powerful tool in our creative workflows.”

Here is some more information shared by Puget Systems about  the Puget Systems Topaz Workstation for vMix and what is has under the hood.

The Puget Systems Topaz vMix design utilizes a fast Intel Core Ultra CPU, NVIDIA GeForce RTX video card, and a lot of system memory, allowing it to smoothly support up to four 4K30 sources, with two in Instant Replay, or eight 1080P60 with all of them supported in Instant Replay.

For connectivity, this system supports high-speed Thunderbolt, a number of USB ports, 10Gb and 2.5Gb Ethernet, and WiFi 7. Two different Blackmagic DeckLink cards are available, depending on whether users want to utilize 4K or 1080P cameras.
