EOS C500 Workflow

EOS C500 Workflow 2

The advent of 4K digital cinema has presented a wide array of workflow options and challenges for imaging professionals.  The latest addition to the ever-changing landscape of digital motion imaging is the Canon EOS C500. Intended for the motion picture professional, the EOS C500 digital cinema camera outputs and records a variety of 4K, 2K, and HD resolutions. A variety of file options can be simultaneously delivered RAW to external recorders and internally to dual CF cards. Whatever the data-handling choice, it will ultimately impact the entire post pathway. EOS C500 Workflow 1

Canon technical expert Paul McAniff will present an overview of the workflow options available for the EOS C500, including the camera's expansive output capabilities, compatible third party recorder options, and an introduction to Canon's Cinema RAW Development software.  This presentation will cover the system’s various 4K and 2K workflows, which will help end users and post-production professionals choose the best post process for their projects.

To ensure Canon’s end users have a choice of external recorders for their production needs, Canon partnered with AJA, CODEX, Convergent Design, and S.two. Representatives from each will be on hand to share their own 4K workflow solutions.

After the seminar, attendees will have an opportunity to rotate through stations equipped with an EOS C500 cameras paired with a sample of each of the external recorders. This event is recommended for anyone working on production of cinematic, independent, or documentary films, episodic TV, stock footage, advertising, and commercials.
