Fujifilm’s first digital camera purpose-built for filmmaking production, the FUJIFILM GFX ETERNA 55 (“GFX ETERNA 55” as is being called) features the tallest digital cinema sensor currently available on the open market (32.71mm vertical) with a native 1.33:1 aspect ratio. Its 1.33:1 Open Gate is familiar to filmmakers, as it’s the same aspect ratio as 4-Perf Super 35 – only three times larger. The unique sensor height offers modern filmmakers a new perspective with great compositional flexibility, whether utilizing anamorphic lenses, or framing for vertical micro-dramas.
The camera features a variety of recording modes, allowing filmmakers the flexibility to choose the image format that best suits the story they would like to tell. As a testament to its large format perspective, GFX ETERNA 55 is an IMAX-certified digital camera. GFX ETERNA 55 is made production-ready featuring an internal variable ND, included PL mount, wide connectivity, and an optical low-pass filter that helps reduce aliasing and false color artifacts.

One of the key events in the broadcast and cinema industry calendar, this awards program recognizes the most significant and promising new products and technologies showcased by exhibitors at NAB Show. NAB Show Product of the Year Award winners were selected by a panel of industry experts and announced during a live awards ceremony at NAB Show 2026 on April 22.
The LA30x7.8 also features a newly developed drive unit with high resolution 16-bit encoders designed for extremely accurate position detection and control in virtual and remote production, helping to streamline production operations. LA30x7.8 continues the legacy of its predecessor, FUJINON LA16x8BRM 4K broadcast zoom lens (“LA16x7.8”), the first in Fujinon’s LA series of 4K broadcast zoom lenses. LA16x7.8, which Fujifilm released in 2019 in response to evolving production needs, was received with very positive feedback because of its compact (163.8mm) and lightweight (1.6kg) design, excellent optical performance, and affordable cost.
OKAY was developed to prove how filmmaking and state-of-the-art technology can combine to great effect. The challenge was to fuse technical excellence with emotional resonance for an end result that balances cinematic quality with a raw, real portrait of the human experience. Andrew and Oren made use of GFX ETERNA 55’s large format sensor and Fujifilm’s world-renowned color science to guide their creative choices throughout the project, allowing them to experiment with image formats and lens choice while maintaining a cohesive visual identity. Beyond its technical execution, OKAY demonstrates what it means to collaborate with a brand to tell a deeply human story, deepening Fujifilm’s connection with filmmakers and carrying forward its 92-year legacy into the future.
