Large Price Drop for Canon C300 Mark II and C100 Mark II

C300

I love saving money. I’m sure you love saving money just as much as I love saving money. Now you can save more money if you buy the Canon C300 Mark II or the C100 Mark II. Actually, you can save a lot of money. $4,000 dollars worth of money. Have I told you how much I love saving money?

C300 Mark II

$4,000 in savings drops the price of the Canon C300 Mark II to $11,999.00. While this is still more expensive than the Sony FS7 do you think Canon has finally learned how the C300 Mark II should be really priced? Or is this price drop only temporary? Let’s hope this is permanent. In my opinion, the C3oo Mark II was always a little over priced for owner/operators. When you are looking to spend your hard earned cash on a camera system to rely upon it to help earn you a paycheck I’m guessing it can be hard to choose a 4K camera without better high frame rate options. But… I could be very wrong here. Many shooters love their Canon’s and the image it’s capable of capturing.

C100 Mark II

The Canon C100 Mark II has a $1500 savings too. The camera savings include if you buy a C100 MarkII camera body only, a C100 Mark II with dual pixel autofocus, as well as three different camera packages. The different camera packages include a camera body with either a 24-105mm zoom, a 17-55mm zoom, or an ENG kit with the dual pixel auto focus and Atomos Ninja 2 recorder.

Cine-Servo 17-120mm

If you are looking to saving money on the Cine-Servo 17-120mm now is the time to buy. Canon has a $5,000 dollar savings on the lens. The savings includes both the EF Mount and PL Mount of the lens. The savings translates a final price of $26,350.00 for the lens instead of the original $31,350.00. Better yet, you can combine the C300 Mark II savings with the Cine-Servo 17-120mm lens savings when you bundle the two together.

$9,000 is a lot of money to save. If you were ever interested in a C300 Mark II with a 17-120mm Cine-Servo lens and the Zacuto ENG Package now is the time to pick it up. Both the C300 Mark II and the 17-120mm are great pieces of gear alone. If you add these two together then no shooting situation is out of bounds for you.

What do you think? Do you think this pricing is temporary or permanent? Do you think this how the C300 Mark II should have been priced from its introduction? My opinion, for whatever little it’s worth, is $11,999 is a much better, and smarter, of a price for the C300 Mark II with dual pixel auto focus.
