Matthews introduces 40″ Sliding Leg C-Stand 2-Pack

Matthews, the company that invented the C-Stand, has taken its years of experience and market feedback to expand the original in multiple ways, and now there is a new offer from the MSE: a new set that delivers a matched pair of Matthews‘ classic C-Stands trusted by the industry for decades—in a single box, with continental U.S. freight included. 

Setups often call for a second C-Stand to hold the light, diffusion, backdrop or fill. The 2-Pack provides both in a choice of chrome or black finish. Each stand features the famous patented Matthews sliding-leg design that enables quick adjustable leveling on stairs, curbs, and uneven ground without extra hardware. 

The stands each reach a maximum height of 127″/321 cm, a minimum height of 53.25″/135 cm and carries a load capacity of 22 lbs/10 kg, while weighing just 16 lbs/7.2 kg. With a footprint of 27.5″/70 cm, it folds down to a 21″/54 cm base.

That’s just the start. Each individual stand comes with a Matthews-only 40″ Hollywood Arm (exclusive to C-Stand purchases). It features a knurled baby pin with 1/4-20 tap complete with Matthews trademark safety features, which enables attachment of any number or items in addition to booming out a fixture. It pairs well with the included 2.5″ grip head. Also known as “gobo heads,” their serrated jaws and 3/8″ and 5/8″ holes ensure set-it-and-forget-it positive locking in every direction.
