It really doesn’t matter whether you are recording Live-to-drive (previously called Live-to-tape), live to over the air or cable, or live on the Internet. In part 1, I cover the acoustic environment, microphones, and IFBs. In part 2, I cover On Air lights, audio mixers, the power of automatic muting, audio monitors, and snake cables. In part 3, I cover several ways of taking live telephone calls, sidetone, and mix-minus.
Although these articles are focused on the use of the TriCaster Mini and other TriCaster models, most of the information is applicable to live TV shows even when you don’t use a TriCaster.
