I was fortunate enough to be able to attend the GoPro HERO3 launch event on Tuesday, October 16. I went out to San Francisco to represent Studio Daily and write up my experiences on their blog. On Friday I posted a piece all about the event and the fun we had testing the camera at Sonoma Raceway so if you haven’t seen it and are interested in this important update to the popular GoPro camera line then give it a read. My PVC colleague Jeff Foster was also at the event and he’s posted his own thoughts on the event and the new camera as well.

This footage was shot at the HERO3’s 2.7K resolution. In Google Chrome I’m able to choose the original 2K resolution from the YouTube quality menu. If you’ve got the right monitor and bandwidth give it a try:
