Camera Pros Set to Take the Stage at the Entertainment Technology Expo

The third annual “How’d You Get That Shot@!?,” sponsored by the Society of Camera Operators, features two craftsmen with notable work under their belts. Stephen Campanelli, SOC, whose work includes “Seven Psychopaths” and the upcoming “Gangster Squad,” will be joined by Daniel Gold, SOC, who has worked with Clint Eastwood for 18 years on such projects as “J. Edgar” and “Gran Torino.”

Both men will offer insider tips and techniques and describe their experiences working in such a colorful, turbulent industry. The session takes place on Wednesday, November 7th at 3:00 p.m.

At Gear Alley, two experienced professionals will be providing hands-on demonstrations of cranes, dollies, rigs, lighting and more in three special “Shoulder To Shoulder” sessions. Christopher Tufty, SOC, will handle the session on Wednesday, November 7th at 4:30 p.m. Tufty is the current president of the Society of Camera Operators, and his work includes “Boomtown” and “Buffy the Vampire Slayer.”

Eddie Barber, Emmy®-award winning camera operator and inventor, will present two sessions: one on Wednesday, November 7, at 2:00 p.m; and the next on Thursday, November 8, at 1:00 p.m.
