At the core of the demonstration is a broader shift in filmmaking workflows in which the studio becomes portable, production becomes editable, and smaller teams gain access to large-scale production capabilities. A new kind of production pipeline
A showcase of the complete filmmaking process from concept through to the final shot, using a compact, on-location setup that brings traditionally separate stages into a single continuous workflow.
It begins in a virtual environment, where scenes are blocked and explored using high-fidelity worlds built with tools such as Terra from District Cinema and Gaussian-splat environments from XGRIDS and WorldLabs. Rather than treating this as previs alone, the environment becomes the foundation for everything that follows.
From there, directors move seamlessly into shot development — rehearsing camera moves, staging, and performance in real time using virtual cameras, markerless motion capture, and environments built in Unreal Engine. Decisions that would typically be deferred to later stages are made early, while the scene remains fluid and adjustable.
Production then shifts to a physical setting, where actors are filmed on location using cinema cameras and spatial tracking. Without the need for LED volumes or greenscreen, the setup remains lightweight and portable, while still capturing the data required for downstream transformation.
This footage is then processed using Beeble’s AI technology, including SwitchLight and SwitchX, where lighting and environments can be reshaped after capture. Instead of being locked at the point of shooting, key creative decisions remain open, allowing scenes to be refined, relit, and recontextualised in post.
