You probably know the YoloLiv brand from my review of the original YoloBox video switcher-recorder-streaming encoder in 2020 or the 11+ articles I have published about its other products and services since then. Even though my review of YoloCam S7 camera (which is µ4/3) and its little sister—the YoloCam S3—are still pending to come out, this article is mainly to inform you about the new YoloLiv µ4/3 lens. Before now, anyone who purchased a YoloCam S7 camera had no choice but to purchase a µ4/3 lens from another manufacturer, which has included: 7artisans, ARAX, Cosina Voigtländer, Entaniya, Jackar, Kodak, Kowa, Lensbaby, Meike, OM Digital Solutions, OM System, Meike, Meyer Optik Görlitz, Mitakon, Panasonic, Samyang, Sigma, SLR Magic, Peleng, Sirui, Tamron, TTArtisan, Venus Optics, Veydra, Yasuhara, YI, Yongnuo and Zonlai. This new µ4/3 lens from YoloLiv is impressively fast—with an aperture of F 1.4—and is much more affordable than its competition, as you’ll see below.

The YoloLiv Lens is an 18mm F1.4 M43‑mount lens featuring a bright, large aperture for smooth background blur and professional image quality. It’s designed to deliver a compact, immersive shooting experience with YoloCam S7.
Its features include:
- The YoloLiv Lens features a lightweight design paired with a bright F1.4 large aperture, allowing you to easily create a soft, smooth, and immersive background blur effect. Designed for the M43 mount, it supports both auto focus and manual focus.
- The lens adopts a 7-element in 7-groups optical structure with a nano multi-layer coating process to improve image quality and reduce flare and ghosting.
- Equipped with 7 aperture blades, it offers an aperture range from F1.4 to F22. A stepper motor drive system ensures smooth and precise focusing performance.
- It supports 46mm filters (P=0.75), with a maximum diameter and length of φ63 × 73.7mm, a maximum magnification of 0.1×, and a minimum focusing distance of 0.19m.
Structure
- This 18mm F1.4 lens is designed to deliver a balance between compact form and uncompromised image quality, enabling a more immersive and flexible shooting experience.
- It features a metal lens mount, gold-plated contacts, and supports EXIF information transmission for seamless camera integration.
Focus ring
- The focus ring supports full-time manual focus. After completing auto focus, you can directly fine-tune the focus manually without switching focus modes, allowing you to precisely achieve your desired focal point.
Function
- Equipped with 4 aspherical lens elements and 3 low dispersion elements, this lens effectively compensates for various optical aberrations, delivering clearer images with improved edge-to-edge sharpness and color accuracy.
