'The Hunger Games' Director Gary Ross Headlines Session at 2012 NAB Show 1

What: “The Hunger Games” Director Gary Ross has been added as a speaker to the 2012 NAB Show program. “The Hunger Games” is currently the nation’s number one movie and enjoyed the third-highest domestic film opening ever this past weekend.

When: April 16, 2012 – 12:00 noon – 1:00PM

Where: 2012 NAB Show – Las Vegas Convention Center – Las Vegas, NV

Session Description: The sound design for the “The Hunger Games” is born out of an unusual collaborative process between Director Gary Ross and Soundelux and Todd-AO sound teams, who worked side-by-side, beginning at the pre-visualization stage and through production, all the way to the final mix. The panel will show how the film’s artists joined forces to realize Ross’s retro-futuristic vision, immersing the audience in the film’s believable, futuristic world. The panel is produced in partnership with MPSE (Motion Picture Sound Editors).
