SpeakerText is an easy-to-use tool that lets you find, read and share what people are saying inside of videos.
SpeakerText takes a regular YouTube video like this one, of Marc Andreessen…and turns it into this.
With SpeakerText, the transcript becomes part of the video itself. You can use it to skip backwards and forwards within the video just by clicking on the text…
Or, you can use it to find a specific quote inside of the video, like this…
Now let’s say you’ve found a great quote in a video, like this one from Marc Andreessen, and you want to blog about it.
Highlight the quote in the SpeakerText, then either right click your mouse button and select “Copy QuoteLink” or hit the “Quote” button.
This copies the quote to your clipboard and hyperlinks it to the exact moment inside the video where it came from.
Paste it into a blog post and it looks like this.
Now, when you’ve actually published this, your readers will see it as a normal quote that is hyperlinked.
When they click on it, it takes them to the exact spot in the video you want them to see, like this.
