Si TV selects Xytech

Burbank, CA/London UK, February 19, 2008 – Xytech Systems Corporation, a leading provider of software for media business workflow, resource scheduling, and media asset management, announced today that Si TV, a 24-hour English-language Latino network, has selected Xytech’s software to manage its business workflow and business operations.

Si TV was established in 1997 as a production company to develop, produce and distribute original and acquired English-language Latino entertainment. The company’s slate of shows over the years has included the talk show Cafe Ole© with Giselle Fernandez, Dating Factory with Mario Lopez, the stand-up comedy showcases Funny is Funny! and Latino Laugh Festival and Nickelodeon’s highly rated and critically acclaimed family comedy, The Brother’s Garcia, which made television history as the first English-language sitcom with an all-Latino cast and creative team of writers, directors and producers. The network launched on February 25, 2004 and is now a cutting edge television network that is putting America’s melting-pot onto the screen and further positioning Latino culture into the mainstream.

Si TV previously used Excel spreadsheets to manage its projects and schedule the resources required for productions to make their air dates. With the rapid growth of the company a more robust solution was needed to manage the resources and work required for an increasing number of shows and episodes. Si TV reviewed several resource scheduling solutions and selected Xytech’s software because of its strong functional capabilities, adaptability to Si TV operations, and the Xytech Solution Consultants working knowledge of production and broadcasting operations.

Jacklyn Pratt, Vice President of Production, Si TV states, “We chose Xytech for a variety of reasons: its strong handling capabilities, the ability to customize the software to our needs, hands-on training, the intuitive interface, flexibility, full functionality, and proven track record in the entertainment industry. We wanted a system that would grow as we grew, and which would allow us to manage our assets in the most beneficial manner.

Ron Peeters, Executive Vice President of Xytech Systems Corporation, adds, “Si TV is the leading English speaking Latino channel which can be seen on most cable networks. We are delighted to be selected to help automate their business workflows, resource scheduling, and projects required for on-time broadcast delivery..”
