Redrock micro: Hi Carlos, We are looking to release the M3 this summer. I don’t have a specific date yet or any photos but you can check on youtube of vimeo. There were MANY people taking videos of all our new gear at NAB. You can also join our newsletter on our home page: www.redrockmicro.com or join our twitter page. We will be doing all of our announcements through these two avenues.
The M3 will be worth the wait though with a 1/4 stop light loss (unheard of anywhere today) and all the pieces in one casing (adapter, flip, achromat).
Steve: How does the new nano release from the camera? Do you have to unscrew it from the tripod threads or is there a quick release?
Redrock micro: I haven’t had a chance to play with them personally but I don’t belive they have a quick release mechanism. They appear to have adapted the DSLR baseplate so that it does not require rods, but rather mounts into a micro mount.
