Razuna – Updates Open Source Hosted Platform

Razuna – Open Source Digital Asset Management (DAM) / Open Source Media Asset Management (MAM), Razuna – Organize your files, store and retrieve efficiently, Open BlueDragon, ColdFusion, CFML | Razuna Blog.

We have just rolled out a couple of new updates to the Razuna Hosted Platform and would like to inform you of the new functions.

Internet Explorer 8 compatible

We have had some problems in the past with the Internet Explorer, thus we are happy to say that Razuna is now fully compatible with Internet Explorer 8. If you are still using Internet Explorer 7 or even 6, we recommend that you update to Version 8 or use Firefox.

Selectable Languages

As you already know, Razuna comes with many other languages. Up to now, all languages were enabled by default. From now on, the languages can be selected within the Administration. Thus you can choose yourself, which languages will be shown and which one to use for your assets. Languages can be added or removed as you wish. In any case, your stored values will not be lost.

Custom Logo Upload

You can upload your companies logo and have it places where the current Razuna logo is now. This function was available for the last couple of weeks and some have already tested it. Now, please go ahead and use it. You can find it in the Administration under Settings.

Ability to download assets directly

Now you don’t need to put your assets into the basket anymore, just to be able to download them. When you go to the detail window of a asset you see a little arrow next to the URL which will download the assets directly to your desktop.

Collection, view, permissions, etc.

Among other new additions you are now able to add subfolders for users with “No Restrictions” permissions, you can add assets from the folder view directory to a collection, there is a random password generator when you add/edit users, .VOB files can now properly be parsed and converted and many more fixed and enhancements.

User and Collection API

Developers will be happy to note that we now have a API to Users and Collections. Furthermore, we changed the authentication procedure a bit, thus please consult ourupdated documentation.
