Discovery Communications, Inc. (DCI) is a global media and entertainment company that produces high quality content and services. DCI has 14 global television brands such as Discovery Health, Travel Channel, Animal Planet andThe Learning Channel (TLC).

All of DCI’s domestic production workflow uses Artesia DAM as the central control in the production process. Discovery calls this D3 – Digital Desktop Delivery. The goal of the program is to:

D3 allows video to be digitally dropped off, picked up, viewed, approved, and discussed. Roughcuts, select b-roll from current productions, development materials, acquisitions under consideration, talent reel, and animations are all now available to producers around the world available via a web browser.
