Digital assets reside in folders within a workspace for organizational efficiency and lifecycle management. When an asset is uploaded for the first time, PaxPro generates a small “viewable” and gives each file a version number. In order to control the lifecycle of the digital asset, each time the file is modified it must be checked out and then checked back in. All actions on the file are recorded in the system, giving a detailed history over the lifetime of the asset. This approach also assures historical archival of electronic signatures for regulatory compliance and guarantees a single version of the truth is always presented to all collaborators.
