Nikon Creates D750 Filmmaker’s Kit

For users who are looking to take advantage of the Nikon D750’s advanced video capabilities, Nikon is now offering a Filmmaker’s Kit that includes everything needed to get started in the world of cinema, as they did with the Nikon D810.

Nikon’s D750 features the same level of advanced video functionality as the Nikon D810, so it makes complete sense for Nikon to create a kit around the camera. So they did, meaning the company has now three different Cinema kits available: the D810 and D750 Cinema Kits and the D810 Cinema Animator’s Kit.

Before we look at the kit, lets remind readers that the D750 is a camera that can capture video in Full HD 1920×1080 resolution at 60/30/24p and gives videographers and multimedia artists full manual control, including aperture adjustment. Like the D810, the Power Aperture feature provides smooth transitions while adjusting the aperture during recording, and in manual mode, users can control shutter speed and ISO. As with the D810, the kit includes everything needed to get users started in the world of cinema. It contains three NIKKOR lenses in popular focal lengths, including the AF-S NIKKOR 35mm f/1.8G ED lens, the AF-S NIKKOR 85mm f/1.8G lens and the AF-S NIKKOR 50mm f/1.8G lens; all which provide stunning HD clarity and excellent depth of field control for filmmakers. The kit also contains two additional EN-EL15 batteries, an ME-1 Stereo Microphone, one Atomos Ninja-2 External Recorder, and Tiffen 67mm and 58mm Variable Neutral Density Filters (8-Stops) for superior control of light. In addition, the Nikon D750 Filmmaker’s Kit features custom foam inserts, which are ideally sized for use in a hard case for transporting equipment to your next video production.

With this pack users will be able to start creating their own productions right out of the box. Record Full HD 1080p at 60/50/30/25/24p to the internal memory cards in h.264 format while simultaneously recording 1080/30p uncompressed files to the Atomos Ninja-2. Widen production perspective using NIKKOR FX or DX lenses at Full HD 1080p and 16:9 aspect ratio. Attach the ME-1 Stereo Microphone and capture high fidelity sound with sensitivity adjustment up to 20 steps. Simultaneously monitor your shots in Live View on the camera’s LCD display and an external monitor, and even remotely start and stop recording.
