Describing it as “Swiss army knife” of APIs, the Infochimps API includes the following calls to their Twitter and Census datasets:
Trstrank: Based on the data in theirTrst.me tool that was released in April, this service ranks Twitters users using the same algorithm Google utilizes to calculate page rank.
Influencer Metrics: This API call measures the number of retweets and replies in and out for a Twitter user, in order to calculate their influence.
Wordbag: This call identifies the 100 most characteristic words for a particular Twitter user. Included with each word is a number that indicates its frequency of use across the Twitter platform, as well as its frequency of use by the individual.
Conversations: This API call summarizes the interactions between two Twitter users. Currently, only replies are included, but Infochimps plans to add mentions and retweets soon.
Census Demographics: Given an IP address, this call returns Census demographics based on that address’s zip code.
