Another question from the Avid Editors of Facebook becomes the subject of this Let’s Edit with Media Composer tutorial!
Many editors concern themselves with missing media and, yes, that’s a good thing to be worried about, but what happens in a situation where your actual Master Clips from your bins disappear, but the media is all still intact in your timeline. You can match frame to see the clip in the Preview Monitor, but Media Composer can’t find the original clip, because it doesn’t exist anymore. Fear not! In this lesson, we’re going to cover what to do in these situations, and I’m also going to show you that, even thought it might seem like your Master Clips have been deleted, they might still be there, just hidden.
